An old farmhouse converted into an accommodation
Located close to Sarlat, the hotel « Les Glycines » is a charming accommodation in the « Périgord Noir ». The hotel is an image of the name « Périgord noir », derived from the density of green oak forests of the region, because it is settled in a green setting. This old farmhouse dating from 1862 has a large two and half-hectare Park consisting of weeping willows, roses and other shrubs, among which there is a pool. “Les Glycines » is an ancient charming house made with stones, lined with a glass walkway. Inside, modernity mingles with tradition in a luxury setting.
Rooms and suites of this four stars hotel enjoy a magnificent view on the flowery park or on the cliffs of the Vezere which flows along the house. The decor is chic and elegant, while sober, with weathered wood and ivory-colored curtains. Touches of raspberry color raise some of these charming rooms. The hotel « Les Glycines » also features large terraces overlooking the peaceful garden, ideal for relaxing. A SPA, with hammam, sauna and indoor swimming pool, has just been installed for the enjoyment of its visitors.
In the les Glycines Park, a kitchen garden has been created to supply hotel’s restaurants with vegetables. In the gastronomic restaurant, the Chef Eric Jung cooks creative and refined dishes using fresh produce from the garden or from local producers. An expertise also awarded by the title of « Maître Restaurateur ». Besides gastronomy, the Perigord and Sarlat are known for their rich heritage. Near the hotel you can visit the many prehistoric caves in the village of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil, where the hotel is located, and castles of medieval times.
